Fall Join Nights

We are looking forward to the fall recruitment of new Cub Scouts! There will NOT be a Council-wide Fall Round-Up for Cub Scouts as there has been in years past. However, we would still like your unit to join us in the effort to spread the Scouting message and program to new boys in your school and neighborhood by conducting a Join Scouting Night with in the first 2 weeks of your school starting. 

Your District Team is available to help with join nights and conducting in school boy talks. If you would like assistance from Steve Degrazio or Christain Andrade ease contact them. Get your materials for the Join Night Presentation.

It is very important to the Denver Area Council that we try to coordinate our efforts to have a join night at every single Cub Scout Pack in the district, and we are prepared to offer our units the training, supplies, and support they need to register a record number of boys in the Cub Scout program!

2010 Valley District Camporee

The Valley District, would like to invite you to attend the 2010 Valley District Camporee, Sep. 24-26. This year’s event will be held at Camp Dobbins on the Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch in Elbert, Colorado. The theme of this event is “Scottish Highlands Games”.  Get  the Leaders Guide here.

District Committee

We are still looking for a few new members to fill the District Committee. Some of the positions we are looking to fill are Cub Scout Trainer, Leave No Trace Trainer, Flag Retirement Chair, Eagle Advancement Chair, Webelos to Scout Coordinator, Youth Protection Traininer, Community Service Chair, and Popcorn Chair. If you have interest in helping out please Dave Lockley or Dewey Barr.

Roundtable

Valley District Roundtable meets on the first Tuesday at 7:30 PM at the Summit Grove Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) building, 3501 Summit Grove Parkway, Thornton CO.

Order of the Arrow - Medicine Bear Chapter

Our Chapter meetings are on the second Thursday of the month 7:00 PM, at the Westminster Grange Hall. The address is: 3935 West 73rd, Westminster CO

The Medicine Bear Chapter will be hosting our annual Call Out for all of the newly elected members of the Order of the Arrow on April 15th at 7pm. We will also be hosting a camp for Ranch Hands Weekend at Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch April 16th -18th. Lastly the Medicine Bear Induction Weekend "Cony Party" is May 7th -9th at Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch.  If you are interested in the campout or have questions about the Order of the Arrow contact the Chapter Adviser Mike Losievsky.
