Medicine Bear Order of the Arrow Chapter Meetings
Meetings take place at the Westminster Grange Hall (3935 West 73rd, Westminster, CO) at 7:00 pm.
The Order of the Arrow (OA) is the national honor society of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Founded in 1915, it uses American Indian traditions and ceremonies to bestow recognition on Scouts selected by their peers as best exemplifying the Scout Oath and Scout Law in their daily lives. Inducted members are known as Arrowmen or brothers and are organized into local youth-led lodges for fellowship and the rendering of service to Boy Scout councils and their communities. Tahosa Lodge, serving the Denver Area Council, was founded at Camp Tahosa in 1948.
How does the Order of Arrow fit into the 21st century? The Order of the Arrow provides countless hours to organizations inside Boy Scouts and out. For example Arrowmen from across the country just completed the largest civilian service project, called ArrowCorp5. Thousands of Arrowmen worked in five different National Parks and National Forest. Locally, the Order of the Arrow works with local wildlife officials, cities, the Salvation Army, the Red Cross, and many more.
